FEVI INTERNSHIPS

You are welcome to participate in our internship programs in Ecuador. We organize short and long term internships in the academic field of your interest.

  • Internship requirements
    You must be 18 years old or older. You must have basic work and academic experience in the field you will be working.

    There is intermediate Spanish language requirement.

    There is a visa requirement if you are staying more than three months. FEVI will send you an acceptance letter so that you can get a visa in your local Ecuadorian Consulate. FEVI will assist you in all the visa process.

  • Work Placements
    We arrange internships according to your academic and personal needs. We are flexible about dates and work places.

  • Schedule and work duties
    The schedule is flexible according to your program needs. There will be a program coordinator to assist you about your work, health, local culture, transportation and any other inquiry you might have.

    You will be assigned duties according to your institution needs.
    Once you choose a project you will get more specific information about your work duties.
    All your ideas and creativity in your work site will be much appreciated.

  • Housing and meals
    FEVI will arrange your housing situation. You will be staying with a host family. Your family will provide your housing and your meals.

  • Spanish lessons
    We offer university level Spanish program. Our Spanish program is optional and will require an additional fee.
    Spanish lessons emphasize oral communication. Spanish program includes cultural training.

  • Medical Insurance
    You must be covered by international health insurance.

  • Fees
    Please write to us for information about fees.
    Your fee covers work placement, housing and meals, orientation, cultural and sites of interest visits, general guidance and support.
    Your fee does not cover air ticket, medical insurance, local transportation, and airport exit tax.

  • What you need to do to enroll in our programs
    Please register on line by sending us your electronic application.

    We will process your application and will send you an acceptance letter with more detailed information.

Checklist–what you need to do before you leave your country

Please ensure that you have:

A valid passport
Round trip air ticket
Family pictures, maps, books, music, etc. so that you can share with your new friends.
Appropriate, comfortable clothes.
A journal so that you can write about your experiences. A camara for your photo memories.
